What is Hawks in Harmony?
Hawks in Harmony is an auditioned extracurricular a cappella group at Holten Richmond Middle School. The group is composed of members from grades 6-8 interested in and dedicated to higher level singing opportunities. In the group, students will primarily sing contemporary pop a cappella music and will perform at various Danvers concerts and events.
Will everyone be selected to the group?
Membership in the group is dependent on how many people and the talent level seen at auditions. The intention is to selective so that the group can engage in rigorous repertoire and rehearsal engagement expectations. Please note, membership in the ensemble in previous years does not guarantee a spot this year.
1st Half of the Year Rehearsal Dates
Rehearsals will take place from 2:15pm - 3:15pm at HRMS unless otherwise specified.
Auditions: Tuesday, Oct 20th (4:15-5:15 PM) or Friday, Oct 23rd (2:00-5:00 PM)

Audition Information
Who: Any HRMS student interested in Hawks in Harmony
What: Prepare a verse and chorus of a song you know well
Where: Ensemble Room at HRMS
When: Thursday, October 22nd or Friday, October 23rd
Please be prepared to complete several warm-up exercises and to learn a brief sight-singing passage with Ms. Stewart.
Participation Requirements
Please complete step one by Friday, October 16th
and step two by Monday, October 26th

2. If you make the group, register & pay the fee for "MS A Cappella"
(Parents / guardians do this only if your student is selected to the ensemble. The roster will be posted by Monday, October 26th)
