The general elementary music curriculum encourages students across all grades (K-5) to create, perform, respond, and connect with music.

 

The Great Oak Chorus is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. Rehearsals are held every Thursday morning from 7:30 am to 8:15 am in the Music Room. In Chorus, students learn valuable skills such as audiation, harmonization, 2-3 part singing, and how to engage as an ensemble.

 

Great Oak also offers a 3rd grade chorus. Rehearsals for this chorus begin after the winter concert, and the ensemble is open to all 3rd grade students. A rehearsal schedule will be communicated soon to families.

 

At Greak Oak, students showcase their Dragon D.R.I.V.E.: Determination to do our best, Respect for others, Independence in our thoughts and actions, Value our community, and Empathy to those around us.
